I made a place for the Dettmanns to post photographs. There are currently two albums: one for Hamish and Michelle’s wedding, and the other with pictures of our trip.

Who’s who from our trip (Gary and Rachel’s Page)
Our 2nd daughter, Charlotte stayted for a couple of days with Rachel’s sister. Her husband has a wonderful blog and wrote a couple of articles during Charlotte’s visit:
There’s a girl in the house
Lottieland
Below are some of the highlights from our trip:
- Morning and afternoon tea with John and Lindley
- Feeding the cows, the goats, and the sheep
- Frances enjoyed getting the eggs from the chickens
- John let Frances ride on the motorcycle and the BIG tractor
- We had a fantastic dinner with Paul and Rachel in their charming home
- We saw kangaroos in their yard
- We went to the coast with Paul, Rachel, and their children for a very nice day that included a swim in the ocean, a trip to Geelong, a tour around several quaint towns, and a very nice dinner with some friends of Paul’s.
- The drive back from that dinner was an experience… Rachel, Frances and I were following Paul and Rachel and went over some mountain roads where we saw over 50 kangaroos right at the edge of the road. They often jump into cars (like deer) so it was an unnerving drive.
- I’ve managed driving pretty well on the “wrong” side of the road, and changing gears with my left hand. I still walk toward the wrong side of the car to get in every time.
- Tuesday, Rachel and I went to shop in downtown Kyneton only to discover that the stores are all closed on Tuesday.
- Wednesday, I helped John work on the farm while Rachel, Rachel, and Rachel (imagine that) went shopping in a neat little town nearby.
- The wedding, of course, was great. We were so glad to be here to help and to enjoy. It was quite a community event.

- college/university is uni
